Criticare developed and introduced digital oximetry, the first completely digital pulse oximetry providing high performance during patient movement and low perfusion conditions. Advanced features such as saturation averaging and ambient light rejection have been included in its oximeters since the 1980’s. Criticare oximeters are also designed to reduce artifacts from noise, electrosurgery and other interference sources.
